THE CLARKSVILLE ARTS & HERITAGE DEVELOPMENT COUNCIL PRINTED A CULTURAL CALENDAR WITH WORK BY 14 LOCAL ARTISTS AND POSTING OF LOCAL CULTURAL EVENTS THROUGHOUT THE YEAR; ACTED AS THE DESIGNATED AGENCY FOR THE TENNESSEE ARTS COMMISSION TO ALLOCATE ARTS BUILD COMMUNITIES FUNDS IN SEVEN COUNTIES; HOSTED THE SEVENTH ANNUAL 2RIVERS PLEINAIR PAINT OUT, WITH ARTISTS FROM MIDDLE TENNESSEE AND SOUTHERN KENTUCKY CONVERGING ON CLARKSVILLE TO PAINT THE COMMUNITY, CULMINATING IN AN EXHIBITION AND ART SALE ON THE FINAL EVENING OF THE EVENT; WORKED WITH THE ROXY THEATRE AND PLANTERS BANK TO BRING CLASSIC MOVIES BACK TO FRANKLIN STREET; PARTNERED WITH THE TENNESSEE STATEHALL OF FAME AND THE WOMENS NETWORK TO CONTINUE INSTALLING A TENNESSEE DISCOVERY TRAIL LINED WITH SMALL SCULPTURES OF TENNESSEE SYMBOLS; PUBLICIZED ARTS EVENTS HOSTED BY ORGANIZATIONS THROUGHOUT THE COMMUNITY THROUGH FACEBOOK POSTINGS AND EMAILS; HONORED MARK HOLLEMAN AND DAN HANLEY WITH LIFETIME ACHIEVEMEN AWARDS FOR THEIR CONTRIBUTIONS TO HERITAGE AND THE ARTS IN OUR COMMUNITY; WORKED IN PARTNERSHIP WITH FIRST PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH OF CLARKSVILLE AND THE DOWNTOWN ARTISTS CO-OP ON THE ARTS 4 HEARTS PROGRAM TO BRING ARTS EXPERIENCES TO COMMUNITY MEMBERS WHO FACE ECONOMIC, PHYSICAL OR COGNITIVE BARRIERS TO THE ARTS; HOSTED THE 16TH ANNUAL CLARKSVILLE WRITERS CONFERENCE; SPONSORED A GIRL SCOUT INTERACTIVE MUSIC STAND FOR ROTARY PARK;WORKED WITH MONTGOMERY COUNTY ON SEVERAL PIECES OF PUBLIC ART; WORKED WITH MOUNT OLIVE CEMETERY PRESERVATION SOCIETY TO ORDER A STATUE FOR FORT DEFIANCE; STARTED WORK ON SIGNS FOR DOWNTOWN FOR CLARKSVILLE THEN AND NOW.
