PURPOSE OF THE BAR IS TO OBTAIN COOPERATION OF PRACTICING LAWYERS IN SOUTH DAKOTA FOR THE BETTER ADMINISTRATION OF JUSTICE; TO MAINTAIN A HIGH STANDARD OF PROFESSIONAL CONDUCT; TO PROVIDE A LEGAL ENTITY THROUGH WHICH THE JUDGEMENT OF ITS MEMBERS CAN BE DETERMINED AND MADE AVAILABLE TO THE COURTS AND THE LEGISLATURE; TO UPHOLD THE HONOR OF THE PROFESSION OF THE LAW; AND TO ENCOURAGE ADEQUATE PREPERATION FOR ITS PRACTICE.
