TRAVIS ACADEMY OF FINE ARTS PARTNERS WITH FAMILIES TO PROVIDE INDIVIDUALS WITH THE HIGHEST QUALITY TRAINING AND EXPOSURE TO THE ARTS IN A FAMILY-ORIENTED, CHRIST-CENTERED ENVIRONMENT. TAFA SERVED 561 STUDENTS WITH 92 CLASSES (AND 1112 PRIVATE LESSONS) IN THE ARTS, AND 24 CORE CLASSES FOR STUDENTS.

DURING THE 2021/2022 SCHOOL YEAR, 374 STUDENTS PARTICIPATED IN THE MUSIC PROGRAM THROUGH 25 CLASSES WITH AN AVERAGE COST OF $318 PER CLASS, PER YEAR, AND 1112 PRIVATE LESSONS WITH AN AVERAGE COST OF $19.33 PER LESSON. THE MUSIC CLASSES INCLUDED BAND, CHOIR, CHAMBER ENSEMBLES, PRAISE AND WORSHIP BANDS, AND PRIVATE INSTRUCTION. TAFA SEEKS TO TRAIN STUDENTS IN BOTH THE CLASSICAL AND CONTEMPORARY STYLES, DEVELOPING SOLID TECHNIQUE AND PRACTICE HABITS, TO ENHANCE THEIR TALENTS AND SKILLS IN THE CHURCH AND SOCIETY. STUDENTS ARE ABLE TO PERFORM IN TAFA SHOWCASES, PRIVATE RECITALS, MINISTRY CONCERTS, AND COMPETE IN THE CHILDREN AND MIDDLE SCHOOL HONOR CHOIRS, ALL-REGION BAND AND CHOIR, AND ALL-STATE BAND AND CHOIR. ADDITIONALLY, MUSIKGARTEN CLASSES ARE OFFERED FOR AGES 1 - 4.
DURING THE 2021/2022 SCHOOL YEAR 218 STUDENTS PARTICIPATED IN THE VISUAL ARTS PROGRAM THROUGH 16 CLASSES WITH AN AVERAGE COST OF $224 PER CLASS, PER YEAR. THE VISUAL ARTS PROGRAM PROVIDES THE HIGHEST QUALITY TRAINING TO EDUCATE 1ST - 12TH GRADE STUDENTS FROM INTRODUCTION TO ADVANCED LEVELS INCLUDING: DRAWING, PAINTING, GRAPHIC DESIGN, PHOTOGRAPHY, DIGITAL CINEMA AND SOUND/MEDIA. OUR TEACHERS COLLABORATE WITH LOCAL ARTISTS TO PREPARE OUR STUDENTS FOR PERSONAL ARTISTIC PURSUITS AND COLLEGE PREPARATION IN VARIOUS FIELDS OF ART. WE ACTIVELY SEEK TO BE INVOLVED IN THE CHRISTIAN ART COMMUNITY, PROVIDING A GATEWAY FOR OUR STUDENTS TO USE THEIR TALENTS WITHOUT COMPROMISE. WE CONCLUDE OUR YEAR WITH A GALLERY NIGHT WHERE OUR STUDENTS DISPLAY THIER WORK FOR THE GREATER FORT WORTH COMMUNITY.
DURING THE 2021/2022 SCHOOL YEAR, 332 STUDENTS PARTICIPATED IN THE INTERPRETIVE AND THEATRICAL ARTS PROGRAM THROUGH 23 CLASSES WITH AN AVERAGE COST OF $292 PER CLASS, PER YEAR. THE INTERPRETIVE CLASSES OFFER CLASSICAL BALLET, POINT, AND IRISH DANCE FOR AGES 5-18. CLASSES COMBINE PROPER TECHNIQUE, CHOREOGRAPHY, INTERPRETATION, AND PERFORMANCE AS AN ACT OF WORSHIP TO THE CREATOR OF THE ARTS. THE THEATRICAL ART CLASSES IN DRAMA AND ACTING NUTURE A DEEPLY CREATIVE COMMUNITY THAT IS WHOLLY CHRIST-CENTERED AND TEACH SKILLS NECESSARY IN THEATER SUCH AS IMPROVISATION, MONOLOGUES, COSTUMING, MAKEUP AND STAGE COMBAT.
