Part 3
THE FUNDS RAISED BY THE COALITION ARE USED TO PAY FOR COMMUNICATIONS, EDUCATION, GRASSROOTS AND LEGISLATIVE ADVOCACY AND EDUCATION EFFORTS. MANY PEOPLE ARE UNAWARE OF THE LOOMING GRIDLOCK CRISIS THAT IS GROWING IF A NEW BRIDGE IS NOT BUILT SOON. FAILING TO BUILD THE BRIDGE IS NOT AN OPTION. FAILING TO BUILD A NEW BRIDGE WILL ADVERSELY AFFECT OUR REGION'S ECONOMY, OUR VITALITY (QUALITY OF LIFE, ECONOMIC GROWTH, AND REGIONAL IDENTITY) AND OUR SAFETY. FUNDING AND BUILDING A MEGA-PROJECT LIKE THIS ONE REQUIRES ACTIVE PARTICIPATION AT THE LOCAL, STATE AND FEDERAL LEVELS OF OUR GOVERNMENT. EDUCATING THE PUBLIC AND OUR LEGISLATORS, ADVOCATING FOR THEIR SUPPORT AND USING THAT SUPPORT AS LEVERAGE TO PASS NEEDED LEGISLATION IS THE ONLY WAY TO MAKE THIS PROJECT A REALITY - WHICH, OF COURSE, IS THE ULTIMATE GOAL OF THE COALITION.
