TO IMPOROVE HEALTH AND WELL-BEING BY PROVIDING ACCESS TO NUTRITIOUS FOOD AND COLLABORATING WITH COMMUNITY PARTNERS ON PROGRAMS THAT EMPOWER SELF-SUFFICIENCY. JUST FOOD'S IS THE CENTRAL FOOD DISTRIBUTION FACILITY IN DOUGLAS COUNTY TO DIRECTLY PROVIDE FOOD ASSISTANCE FOR THOSE IN NEED AND TO COORDINATE WITH AND SUPPORT EFFORTS OF PARTNER AGENCIES THAT MAINTAIN COMMUNITY FOOD PANTRIES. JUST FOOD WORKS TO ELIMINATE FOOD WASTE BY RESCUING FOOD FROM LOCAL STORES, RESTAURANTS AND FARMS ACROSS DOUGLAS COUNTY. JUST FOOD'S VISION IS TO BE AN INNOVATIVE LEADER IN ALLEVIATING THE PROBLEM OF HUNGER.THE ORGANIZATION PROVIDES COOKING CLASSES TO TEACH FAMILIES AND CHILDREN HOW TO COOK HEALTHY MEALS UNDER TWO DOLLARS TO IMPROVE HEALTH AND SELF-SUFFICIENCY.
