WE RESCUE CAPTIVE TIGERS FROM ABUSIVE AND VULNERABLE ENVIRONMENT. FROM DISCOVERY TO SANCTUARY, WE ENSURE THEY RECEIVE SUSTAINABLE LIFETIME CARE IN A SAFE HOME. WE ALSO FUND RESEARCH AND AWARENESS RELATED TO CAPTIVE TIGERS.

TIGER RESCUE - TRANSPORTATION, PEOPLE AND EQUIPMENT NECESSARY TO MOVE TIGERS AND OTHER BIG CATS TO TIGERS IN AMERICA SANCTUARIES - DETAILS CAN BE FOUND ON HTTPS://TIGERSINAMERICA.ORG/RESCUES/. HIGHLIGHT 16 RESCUES 45 ANIMALS, 3 COUNTRIES.


EDUCATION AND AWARENESS - FUNDED MULTIPLE GRANTS WITH CLEMSON AND OTHER UNIVERSITIES BOTH TO DRIVE AWARENESS OF CAPTIVE TIGERS IN THE US, AND THE STUDENTS GENERATED CONTENT FOR OUR WEBSITE.


RESEARCH IN COOPERATION WITH STANFORD UNIVERSITY PROVIDE DNA SAMPLES TO COMPLETE THE MAPPING THE FIRST TIGER REFERENCE GENOME WHICH PROVIDES THE ABILITY TO UNIQUELY IDENTIFY ANY TIGER ALONG WITH DNA FOR RELATED TIGERS. THIS IS OF PARTICULAR INTEREST TO THE US FISH AND WILDLIFE SERVICE IN THEIR EFFORTS TO PROHIBIT THE POACHING AND TRADE IN TIGERS AND TIGER PARTS, IT WILL ALSO PROVIDE SCIENCE NECESSARY TO DEMONSTRATE THE DAMAGE CAUSED BY INBREEDING. ALSO PROVIDED SMALLER GRANTS FOR SCHOLARSHIPS AND DOCUMENTARY FUNDING.
