PROVIDE A YOUTH CENTER FOR UNDERPRIVILEGED CHILDREN IN THE FLORENCE COUNTY AREA THAT THROUGH THE STRUCTURE OF ORGANIZED SPORTS ACTIVITIES, CHILDREN CAN LEARN LIFE ENHANCING PRINCIPALS AS TEAMWORK, SELF-DISCIPLINE, CONFIDENCE, RESPONSIBILITY AND HARD WORK.

IN 2022, S.T.A.R.S. CONTINUED ITS GROWTH TO NEARLY 5,000 PARTICIPANTS A MONTH. OUR TRADITIONAL SPORTS LIKE BASEBALL, BASKETBALL, AND FOOTBALL CONTINUED TO GROW. WE FOCUSED ON DEVELOPING OUR CURRENT PROGRAMS SUCH AS ETHNIC COMMUNITY PROGRAMS, SPECIALIZED CROSS TRAINING FOR YOUTHS, AND BIRTHDAY PARTIES FOR NEARLY 50 CHILDREN ACROSS THE PEE DEE. WE CONTINUED TO INCREASE OUR CROSS TRAINING FOR YOUTHS IN 2022. IN 2022 WE CONTINUED TO REACH OUT TO MORE OF THE LOCAL SCHOOLS TO GROW OUR MENTORING PROGRAM. ALL OF THIS GROWTH WITH NO COST TO ANY CHILD!
