WE WORK CLOSELY IN A NON-ADVOCACY SETTING WITH THE STATE AND FEDERAL AGENCIES WHICH PROVIDE THE BULK OF OUR FUNDING. DURING 2015, WE PROMOTED EDUCATION, CEMPRENSION, SAFETY AND AWARENESS OF LARGE CARNIVORES TO MEMBERS OF THE PUBLIC AND PUBLIC SCHOOLS THROUGH OUR OUTREACH EFFORTS. WE ALSO GAVE OUT AN ESTIMATED 60,000 PIECES OF HIGH QUALITY CARNIVORE INFORMATIONAL BROCHURES TO THE PUBLIC AND STATE AND FEDERAL RESOURCE AGENCIES. OUTREACH EFFORTS INCLUDED PUBLIC SLIDESHOW AND MOVIE PRESENTATIONS TO COMMUNITY GROUPS, TABLING PRESENCE AT DOZENS OF LOCAL FAIRS AND OUTDOOR-RELATED EVENTS, MULTI-DAY PRESENCE AT THE WASHINGTON STATE FAIRS AND EXPOS, LARGE SPORTSMENS SHOWS AND LARGE SPORTING GOODS OUTLETS. WE PARTNER WITH THE US FISH AND WILDLIFE SERVICE AND THE INTERAGENCY GRIZZLY BEAR COMMITTEE TO PROVIDE PUBLIC ACCESS TO A TRAVELING "BEAR/CARNIVORE EDUCATION TRAILER" WHICH CONTAINS FULL BODY TAXIDERMY MOUNTS OF BEARS AND OTHER BEAR-RELATED INFORMATION.
