GRANTMAKING: SVP BOSTON PROVIDES GENERAL OPERATING SUPPORT GRANTS TO A PORTFOLIO OF CAREFULLY SELECTED NONPROFITS. FOR THE YEARS ENDED DECEMBER 31, 2021 AND 2020, THE ORGANIZATION PROVIDED CASH GRANTS TOTALING $122,500 AND $205,750 TO SEVEN AND EIGHT NONPROFIT ORGANIZATIONS, RESPECTIVELY.NONPROFIT CAPACITY BUILDING: SVP BOSTON SUPPORTS CAPACITY BUILDING FOR ITS INVESTEES BY PROVIDING CASH GRANTS AND SKILLED VOLUNTEERS. SVP BOSTON HELPS NONPROFITS BE AS EFFECTIVE AS POSSIBLE IN DELIVERING THEIR PROGRAMS AND SERVICES BY HELPING TO BUILD THEIR ORGANIZATIONAL CAPACITY. SVP BOSTON DEFINES ORGANIZATIONAL CAPACITY BUILDING AS THE DEVELOPMENT OF CORE SKILLS, MANAGEMENT PRACTICES, STRATEGIES, AND SYSTEMS TO ENHANCE AN ORGANIZATION'S EFFECTIVENESS, SUSTAINABILITY, AND ABILITY TO FULFILL ITS MISSION. IN THE YEAR ENDED DECEMBER 31, 2021, SVP BOSTON ESTIMATES THAT ITS PARTNERS DONATED APPROXIMATELY 3,500 HOURS TO THESE NONPROFITS. BASED ON AN AVERAGE RATE OF $150 FOR PRO BONO BUSINESS CONSULTING SERVICES, WHICH IS BENCHMARKED AGAINST INDUSTRY STANDARDS, SVP BOSTON ESTIMATES THAT THE VALUE OF ITS VOLUNTEERING WAS APPROXIMATELY $525,000.
