THE ANNUAL SYMPOSIUM INCLUDED PRESENTATIONS FOM SPEAKERS, POSTER SESSIONS AND WORKGROUP MEETINGS THAT ALL FOCUS ON HEALTH ISSUES IN DOWN SYNDROME ACROSS THE LIFESPAN. THE NUMBER OF PERSONS BENEFITED EXTENDS BEYOND THE NUMBER OF REGISTRANTS (EST 240. CONFERENCE MATERIALS ARE POSTED ON WEBSITE AND AVAILABLE TO OTHERS FOR CONTINUED IMPACT.)ADDITIONALLY THERE WERE ALSO MULTIPLE FREE WEBINARS PROVIDED TO SUPPORT HEALTH CARE PROVIDERS WHO CARE FOR INDIVIDUALS WITH DOWN SYNDROME. MANY PEOPLE WITH DOWN SYNDROME DO NOT HAVE ACCESS TO A SPECIALTY CLINIC FOR PEOPLE WITH DOWN SYNDROME. THEY RECEIVE CARE FROM HEALTH CARE PROVIDERS WHO MAY NOT HAVE MUCH EXPERIENCE IN CARING FOR PEOPLE WITH DOWN SYNDROME. DSMIG-USA ALSO LAUNCHED PROJECT ECHO, A FREE MONTHLY VIRTUAL MEETING FOR HEALTH CARE PROVIDERS TO LEARN AND SHARE INFORMATION ABOUT THE CARE OF PEOPLE WITH DOWN SYNDROME. THESE SESSIONS PROVIDED CONTINUING MEDICAL EDUCATION CREDITS AT NO COST TO MEMBERS AND NONMEMBERS AND REACHED OVER 600 REGISTRANTS WITH CONTENT RECORDED FOR LATER ACCESS IN THE LEARNING LIBRARY OPEN TO EVERYONE.
