Describe the Organization's Program Activity:
MERCY HOSPITAL CARTHAGE'S IN-PATIENT BEDS REMAIN AT 25; SAME AS LAST YEAR. THE HOSPITAL SERVICES INCLUDE ACUTE/SKILLED CARE, SURGICAL SERVICES, 24 HOUR EMERGENCY ROOM CARE, LABORATORY SERVICES, IMAGING SERVICES, PHYSICAL THERAPY, RESPIRATORY THERAPY, AND VISITING SPECIALTY PHYSICIANS. THE COMMUNITY NEED IS REPRESENTED BY 851 DISCHARGES, 15,164 EMERGENCY ROOM VISITS, 770 SURGERIES AND 109,400 OUTPATIENT VISITS. MERCY HOSPITAL CARTHAGE HAS OUTSTANDING PHYSICIANS PRACTICING IN THE CARTHAGE AREA. PHYSICIAN SERVICES ARE ESSENTIAL TO THE HEALTH AND WELL-BEING OF ANY COMMUNITY.
