THE PRINCIPAL ACTIVITIES OF THE CORPORATION SHALL BE TO SUPPORT THE EFFORT OF THE TOWN OF HOPKINTON TO RESTORE, RENOVATE AND EXPAND THE HOPKINTON PUBLIC LIBRARY.

WITH THE OPENING OF THIS HISTORIC PROJECT IN OCTOBER 2017, HPLF CONTINUED TO CARRY ON ITS MISSION THROUGHOUT 2018 AND 2019 OF SUPPORTING THE LIBRARY BY AWARDING A GRANT TO THE TOWN OF HOPKINTON TO DEFRAY THE COSTS OF THE RESTORATION AND RENOVATION OF THE BUILDING. GOING FORWARD, HPLF WILL CONTINUE FUNDING RESOURCES, TECHNOLOGY, EDUCATIONAL AND SPECIAL PROJECTS, AND LONG TERM IMPROVEMENTS TO THE LIBRARY. HPLF'S FUNDRAISING EFFORTS WILL SEEK TO BRIDGE THE GAP BETWEEN THE FUNDING AVAILABLE FROM MUNICIPAL BUDGETS. WORKING IN PARTNERSHIP WITH THE LIBRARY, AS WELL AS THE SUPPORTING ORGANIZATIONS OF THE TRUSTEES AND FRIENDS OF THE LIBRARY, THE FOUNDATION ENCOURAGES CONTINUED AND INCREASED SUPPORT OF THE HOPKINTON PUBLIC LIBRARY AS A VALUABLE COMMUNITY RESOURCE.
