LIGHT OF THE WORLD MINISTRIES BEGAN REACHING OUT TO THE HOMELESS, POOR, AND NEEDY IN THE JACKSONVILLE, FL AREA BY BEING THE HANDS AND FEET OF JESUS. OUR HEARTS ARE TO BUILD RELATIONSHIPS WITH THOSE WHO HAVE BEEN OVERLOOKED AND PUSHED ASIDE BY SOCIETY, LOVING THEM LIKE JESUS BY SERVING THEIR PHYSICAL, EMOTIONAL, AND SPIRITUAL NEEDS. LIGHT OF THE WORLD PARTNERS WITH VOLUNTEERS, ORGANIZATIONS, AND CHURCHES IN THE UNITED STATES TO GET OUT INTO THEIR COMMUNITIES TO SERVE AND LOVE ON THE "LEAST OF THESE AS STATED IN MATTHEW 25:40. THIS OPENS UP THE DOOR TO SHARE JESUS WITH THE LOST AND BRING HOPE TO THE BROKEN AS WE UNITE TOGETHER AS THE BODY OF CHRIST. LIGHT OF THE WORLD ALSO PARTNERS WITH THE LOCAL CHURCH IN POPTN, GUATEMALA TO LOVE AND SERVE ORPHANS, WIDOWS, AND FAMILIES IN NEED. WE ARE BUILDING A RESCUE CENTER IN POPTN THAT WILL SERVE INDIVIDUALS AND FAMILIES THROUGH FEEDING PROGRAMS, KIDS CLUB, FREE ENGLISH CLASSES, MISSION TEAMS, RESPITE CARE FOR PASTORS AND MISSIONARIES, MEDICAL CARE, AND SPIRITUAL CARE THROUGH GOSPEL CENTERED MINISTRY. OUTREACHES IN 2022: -MONTHLY MOBILE FOOD DISTRIBUTIONS IN JACKSONVILLE, FLORIDA IN PARTNERSHIP WITH FIRST FRUITS OUTREACH AND FEEDING NE FL. -MONTHLY FOOD DISTRIBUTIONS IN POPTUN, GUATEMALA IN PARTNERSHIP WITH LOCAL CHURCHES, MISSIONARIES, AND LOCAL BUSINESSES SERVING ORPHANS, SINGLE PARENTS, AND FAMILIES IN EXTREME POVERTY. -ENGLISH CLASSES TO CHILDREN AND YOUNG ADULTS IN POPTUN, GUATEMALA -BACK TO SCHOOL OUTREACH - PROVIDING SCHOOL SUPPLIES, SCHOOL FEES, AND UNIFORMS. -MEDICAL OUTREACH - PROVIDING RIDES TO DOCTOR APPOINTMENTS AND HELP WITH PRESCRIPTION COSTS. -HOUSING OUTREACH - PROVIDING A SAFE PLACE FOR ORPHANS AND WIDOWS DURING LIFE'S MOST CRITICAL MOMENTS, PROVIDING BEDS AND OTHER NEEDED HOUSING SUPPLIES TO KEEP ORPHANS AND WIDOWS THRIVING IN THEIR OWN HOMES. -MISSION TEAMS IN POPTUN, GUATEMALA. -3 MISSIONARIES SERVING FULL TIME IN GUATEMALA. -HOSTING PASTORS AND MISSIONARIES FOR RESPITE CARE. -TEACHING AND EQUIPPING YOUNG ADULTS THROUGH MISSION BASED INTERNSHIPS.
