ADVOCACY - ADVOCACY SERVICES INCLUDE A 24/7 SUPPORT LINE, HOSPITAL ADVOCACY, CRIMINAL JUSTICE ACCOMPANIMENT AND CRISIS INTERVENTION SERVICES, WHICH ARE PROVIDED TO SEXUAL TRAUMA SURVIVORS IN THE AFTERMATH OF A SEXUAL ASSUALT. THESE SERVICES DRASTICALLY REDUCE SURVIVORS' EXPERIENCES OF TRAUMA AND GIVE SURVIVORS THE SUPPORT THAT IS NEEDED TO MOVE FORWARD WITH TEH DAUNTING CRIMINAL JUSTICE PROCESS.
COUNSELING - STAR PROVIDES INDIVIDUAL AND GROUP THERAPY TO SURVIVORS AGED 12 YEARS AND OLDER AT NO COST TO HELP SURVIVORS MOVE PAST THE TRAUMA OF SEXUAL ASSUALT.
LEGAL - STAR PROVIDES FREE LEGAL SERVICES TO SURVIVORS IN NEED OF ASSISTANCE IN THE AREAS OF EDUCATION, EMPLOYMENT, FAMILY LAW, HOUSING, IMMIGRATION, PRIVACY, PUBLIC BENEFITS, VICTIM RIGHTS, AND SAFETY.
SOCIAL CHANGE - TO CREATE SOCIAL CHANGE TO DRASTICALLY REDUCE THE EPIDEMIC OF SEXUAL TRAUMA BY RAISING AWARENESS, PROVIDING EDUCATION, BUILDING SKILLS WITH TEH COMMUNITY TO EFFECTIVELY PREVENT AND INTERVENE IN SEXUAL VIOLENCE, AND EXAMINING THE ROOT CAUSES OF SEXUAL VIOLENCE.
