RESEARCH ALLOWS BAPTIST CLINICAL RESEARCH INSTITUTE, INC. AND BAPTIST MEMORIAL HEALTH CARE CORPORATION AFFILIATED PHYSICIANS TO BE IN THE FOREFRONT OF INNOVATIVE TREATMENT. BAPTIST CLINICAL RESEARCH INSTITUTE, INC. PROVIDES CLINICAL RESEARCH SERVICES TO ALL BAPTIST MEMORIAL HEALTH CARE CORPORATION AFFILIATED HOSPITALS AND SEVERAL BAPTIST MEMORIAL MEDICAL GROUP, INC. CLINICS. BAPTIST CLINCIAL RESEARCH INSTITUTE, INC. SERVES THE TRI-STATE AREA WHICH ENCOMPASSES TENNESSEE, MISSISSIPPI AND ARKANSAS. OVER 50 PHYSICIANS HAVE PARTICIPATED IN BAPTIST CLINICAL RESEARCH INSTITUTE, INC. TRIALS TO DATE, WITH AN AVERAGE OF 8-10 ENROLLED PATIENTS PER TRIAL. BAPTIST CLINICAL RESEARCH INSTITUTE, INC.'S DATABASE CONSISTS OF OVER 300 CLINICAL TRIALS IN A VAST NUMBER OF AREAS WITH THE MAJORITY BEING IN THE FIELD OF CARDIOLOGY.IN AN EFFORT TO CONTINUE BUILDING A STRONG RELATIONSHIP WITH THE BAPTIST RESEARCH FAMILY, BAPTIST CLINICAL RESEARCH INSTITUTE, INC. LAUNCHED A QUARTERLY NEWSLETTER IN 2014 IN ORDER TO SHARE RESEARCH, COMPLIANCE, AND INSTITUTIONAL REVIEW BOARD (IRB) NEWS AND INFORMATION WITH ITS GROWING NETWORK OF RESEARCHERS. THIS NEWSLETTER HAS BEEN VERY WELL-RECEIVED BY THE RESEARCH COMMUNITY AND SERVES AS A RESOURCE AND INFORMATION GUIDE FOR THE RESEARCH SITES AND THEIR STAFF. IN 2015, BAPTIST CLINICAL RESEARCH INSTITUTE, INC. INITIATED A RESEARCH EDUCATION AND TRAINING PROGRAM TARGETED TO CLINICAL RESEARCHERS AND INSTITUTIONAL REVIEW BOARD MEMBERS. THE AIM OF THIS TRAINING PROGRAM WAS TO HELP IMPLEMENT THE FRAMEWORK REQUIRED FOR RESEARCH SITES TO STAY COMPLIANT AND EFFICIENTLY MANAGE CLINICAL TRIAL REQUIREMENTS, AND FOR INSTITUTIONAL REVIEW BOARD STAFF AND REVIEWERS TO ENHANCE THEIR UNDERSTANDING AND INSIGHT INTO CORE TOPICS RELATED TO HUMAN RESEARCH PROTECTION PROGRAMS (HRPPS), AS WELL AS FEDERAL REGULATIONS GOVERNING HUMAN SUBJECTS RESEARCH, INSTITUTIONAL REVIEW BOARD OPERATIONS AND REVIEWING PROCEDURES. BAPTIST CLINICAL RESEARCH INSTITUTE, INC. HAS SPONSORED THREE DAY-LONG RESEARCH TRAINING CONFERENCES AND SEVERAL SEMINARS IN THE PAST YEAR THAT ATTRACTED RESEARCHERS FROM A NUMBER OF BAPTIST HOSPITALS AND CLINICS, AS WELL AS RESEARCH INSTITUTIONS SUCH AS THE ST. JUDE CHILDREN'S RESEARCH HOSPITAL AND THE UNIVERSITY OF TENNESSEE HEALTH SCIENCE CENTER. THESE CONFERENCES WERE CONDUCTED BY LEADERS IN THE CLINICAL RESEARCH FIELD, WITH TOPICS RANGING FROM CLINICAL BILLING COMPLIANCE TO RESEARCH ETHICS, CODE OF THE FEDERAL REGULATIONS, CLINICAL RESEARCH SITE LIABILITIES, INVESTIGATOR AND SITE RESPONSIBILITIES, FDA AUDITS AND PRIVACY AND CONFIDENTIALITY ISSUES IN CLINICAL TRIALS. IN THE UPCOMING YEAR, BAPTIST CLINICAL RESEARCH INSTITUTE, INC. WILL CONTINUE TO STRIVE TOWARDS ITS VISION OF EXCELLENCE AND CONTINUE TO BRING INNOVATIVE AND ACCESSIBLE RESEARCH TO THE PATIENT POPULATION IN THE MIDSOUTH.
