IN 2021 TENNESSEE NATURALISTS AND TNP STUDENTS CONTRIBUTED OVER FIVE THOUSAND VOLUNTEER HOURS, PROVIDING EDUCATION, CITIZEN SCIENCE, STEWARDSHIP AND SERVICE DEDICATED TO THE APPRECIATION, UNDERSTANDING AND BENEFICIAL MANAGEMENT OF NATURAL RESOURCES AND NATURAL AREAS WITHIN THEIR COMMUNITIES. CERTIFIED TENNESSEE NATURALIST PROGRAM PARTICIPANTS ARE PREPARED TO LEAD GUIDED HIKES, PARTICIPATE IN CONSERVATION PROJECTS AND BIODIVERSITY INVENTORIES. THEY HAVE THE SKILLS NECESSARY TO ORGANIZE AND LEAD INTERPRETIVE PROGRAMS. TENNESSEE NATURALISTS HAVE PERFORMED THOUSANDS OF HOURS OF VOLUNTEER SERVICE IN TENNESSEE STATE PARKS, STATE NATURAL AREAS, AND WILDLIFE MANAGEMENT AREAS. THEY ALSO SERVE AT NATURE CENTERS, NATIONAL PARKS, CITY PARKS, ARBORETUMS, DISCOVERY CENTERS, TWRA, NATURE CONSERVANCIES, ZOOS, BOTANICAL GARDENS, AQUARIUMS, ENVIRONMENTAL NONPROFITS AND OTHER NATURE FOCUSED ORGANIZATIONS.
