SNAP - OPERATION OF A SUPPLEMENTAL NUTRITION ASSISTANCE PROGRAM TO OFFER INCENTIVES TO LOW-INCOME INDIVIDUALS AND FAMILIES. THE PROGRAM ENABLES SNAP RECIPIENTS TO DOUBLE THEIR SNAP DOLLARS TO PURCHASE LOCAL FRUITS AND VEGETABLES AT FARMERS' MARKETS, FARM STANDS, AND COMMUNITY SUPPORTED AGRICULTURE (CSA) SHARES.
MOBILE MARKET EDUCATION PROGRAMS - A SERIES OF PROGRAMS THAT CREATE MORE AWARENESS AND DEMAND FOR LOCAL FOOD. WE PROVIDE FUN AND ENGAGING POP-UP FARMERS MARKET EVENTS TO TEACH PEOPLE ABOUT THE VARIETY OF LOCAL FOODS AVAILABLE IN THE REGION. THIS INCLUDES PORTSMOUTH (SATURDAYS), EXETER (THURSDAYS), DOVER (WEDNESDAYS), AND DURHAM (MONDAYS).
