MAXWELL FOUNDATION LOOKS TO CREATE AN INTEGRATION PROGRAM FOR ADULTS DIAGNOSED WITH ASD IN ORDER TO INCREASE THEIR QUALITY OF LIFE QOL AND INDEPENDENCE SKILLS. THE AREAS OF FOCUS INCLUDED EMPLOYMENT, MENTAL HEALTH, AND INTERPERSONAL RELATIONSHIPS. AN ESTIMATED 5,437,988 2.21 ADULTS IN THE UNITED STATES HAVE ASD. THE STATES WITH THE GREATEST ESTIMATED NUMBER OF ADULTS LIVING WITH ASD INCLUDED CALIFORNIA 701,669, TEXAS 449,631, NEW YORK 342,280, AND FLORIDA 329,131. DUE TO THIS, THE PROGRAM WILL BE SET TO TAKE PLACE IN MIAMI LAKES FOR ITS FIRST EDITION. THE PROGRAM WILL HAVE 12 PARTICIPANTS ADULTS BETWEEN THE AGES OF 18 AND 35 DIAGNOSED WITH ASD.
