TO REDUCE GREENHOUSE GAS EMISSIONS, IMPROVE THE LIVELIHOODS OF FOREST DEPENDENT PEOPLE, AND CONSERVE BIODIVERSITY BY SUPPORTING THE DEVELOPMENT OF REDUCING EMISSIONS FROM DEFORESTATION AND DEGRADATION (REDD+) CAPACITY AND ACTIVITIES IN KEY TROPICAL FOREST STATES AND PROVINCES.

INSTITUTIONAL DEVELOPMENT, NETWORKING AND FUNDRAISING. THE STAFF WORKED CLOSELY WITH THE SECRETARIAT OF THE GCF AT THE UNIVERSITY OF COLORADO IN BOULDER AND WITH TECHNICAL EXPERTS AND PARTNER NON-PROFITS TO IDENTIFY NEEDS AND PRIORITIES FOR THE SUPPORT OF JURISDICTIONAL APPROACHES FOR REDUCING TROPICAL FOREST DEFORESTATION AND RELATED CLIMATE CHANGE IMPACT. THESE CONSULTATIONS WERE USED TO INFORM PROGRAM FOR IMPROVING MONITORING OF DEFORESTATION AND CARBON EMISSIONS. THIS ACTIVITY INCLUDED ATTENDANCE AT THE ANNUAL MEETING OF THE GCF IN GUADALAJARA, MEXICO, AT THE REDD+ EXCHANGE FORUM IN OSLO, NORWAY AND AT THE COP 22 UN CLIMATE CHANGE CONFERENCE IN MARRAKECH, MOROCCO.


GENERAL ADMINISTRATION: EXPENSES NECESSARY TO CARRY OUT THE PROGRAM ACTIVITIES, INCLUDING INSURANCE, OCCUPANCY, OFFICE EXPENSES, ETC. WHICH ARE DIRECTLY ASSOCIATED WITH PROGRAM COSTS.
