THE FOUNDATION IS DEDICATED TO SHOWING THAT HOME BUILDERS CARE ABOUT THE COMMUNITY BY AWARDING SCHOLARSHIPS TO LOCAL STUDENTS INTERESTED IN THE CONSTRUCTION TRADES AND WORKING ON PROJECTS THAT SUPPORT HOUSING IN THE AREA.

HOME BUILDERS CARE OF FARGO-MOORHEAD FOUNDATION SUPPORTS WORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT OF THE HOUSING AND BUILDING INDUSTRIES BY PROVIDING SCHOLARSHIPS TO STUDENTS INTERESTED IN PURSUING A CAREER IN THESE INDUSTRIES. IN ITS HISTORY, THE FOUNDATION HAS AWARDED SCHOLARSHIPS TO OVER 350 STUDENTS. THE FOUNDATION PARTNERS WITH A LOCAL COLLEGE TO OFFER THE HERDINA CONSTRUCTION TRADES CAMP WHICH IS A TWO-WEEK PROGRAM FOR HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS TO WORK DIRECTLY WITH MEMBERS OF THESE INDUSTRIES TO RECEIVE CLASSROOM EDUCATION AND HANDS-ON TRAINING ON MANY FACETS OF THE HOUSING AND BUILDING INDUSTRIES. STUDENTS EARN COLLEGE CREDITS FOR COMPLETING THIS PROGRAM.
