THE PURPOSE OF VALLEY SENIOR LIVING FOUNDATION IS TO SEEK AND ACCEPT PHILANTHROPIC GIFTS TO PERPETUATE AN ENDOWMENT FUND AND TO SUPPORT SERVICES THAT ENHANCE THE CARE OF THE RESIDENTS OF VALLEY SENIOR LIVING.

WE IDENTIFIED A NEED FOR SPIRITUAL CARE WHEN OUR FACILITIES OPEN OVER 90 YEARS AGO. WE BELIEVE SPIRITUAL CARE IS IMPORTANT IN THE LIVES OF OUR RESIDENTS. THESE FUNDS WERE USED TO HELP CONTINUE THE CHAPLAINCY PROGRAM FOR ALL RESIDENTS, FAMILIES AND STAFF. VALLEY SENIOR LIVING EMPLOYEES TWO FULL-TIME CHAPLAINS AND ALSO HAS TWO FLEX CHAPLAINS.
WE IDENTIFIED A NEED TO ENHANCE THE OUTDOOR LIVING SPACE AT TUFTE MANOR. PROCEEDS FOR THE 2021 VALLEY SENIOR LIVING GOLF CLASSIC BENEFITED THE TUFTE MANOR OUTDOOR PROJECT AS WELL AS USE OF OTHER FUNDS. THE TUFTE MANOR OUTDOOR PROJECT FUNDS WERE USED FOR REPLACING THE FACILITIES CENTER COURT PATIOS, LANDSCAPING THE PATIOS AND FRONT OF THE BUILDING, CREATING A SOUTHWEST PRIVACY AREA AND PURCHASING FURNITURE.
WE DETERMINED THERE WAS A NEED TO PROMOTE VALLEY SENIOR LIVING'S CULTURE WITH IT'S 800 PLUS EMPLOYEES AND PROVIDE APPRECIATION GIFTS. THESE FUNDS WERE USED TO GIVE A STAFF APPRECIATION GIFT AROUND THE HOLIDAYS. THE ORGANIZATION WAS UNABLE TO HAVE A STAFF HOLIDAY PARTY DUE TO PRECAUTIONS SURROUNDING COVID-19 PANDEMIC.
OTHER PROGRAM SERVICES INCLUDED FUNDING A NUMBER OF ITEMS AND PROGRAMS THAT ENHANCE THE QUALITY OF LIFE FOR THE RESIDENTS. RECORDS ARE MAINTAINED TO TRACK DESIGNATION OF USE BY DONOR FOR A SPECIFIC FACILITY AND/OR PROGRAM.
