THE PURPOSE OF VALLEY SENIOR LIVING FOUNDATION IS TO SEEK AND ACCEPT PHILANTHROPIC GIFTS TO PERPETUATE AN ENDOWMENT FUND AND TO SUPPORT SERVICES THAT ENHANCE THE CARE OF THE RESIDENTS OF VALLEY SENIOR LIVING.

WE IDENTIFIED A NEED FOR SPIRITUAL CARE WHEN OUR FACILITIES OPEN OVER 90 YEARS AGO. WE BELIEVE SPIRITUAL CARE IS IMPORTANT IN THE LIVES OF OUR RESIDENTS. THESE FUNDS WERE USED TO HELP CONTINUE THE CHAPLAINCY PROGRAM FOR ALL RESIDENTS, FAMILIES AND STAFF. VALLEY SENIOR LIVING EMPLOYEES TWO FULL-TIME CHAPLAINS AND ALSO HAS TWO FLEX CHAPLAINS.
OTHER PROGRAM SERVICES INCLUDED FUNDING A NUMBER OF ITEMS AND PROGRAMS THAT ENHANCE THE QUALITY OF LIFE FOR THE RESIDENTS. RECORDS ARE MAINTAINED TO TRACK DESIGNATION OF USE BY DONOR FOR A SPECIFIC FACILITY AND/OR PROGRAM.
WE IDENTIFIED A NEED TO ENHANCE THE ACTIVITY AND COMMUNITY ROOMS AT TUFTE MANOR. PROCEEDS FROM A MYRA FOUNDATION GRANT WERE UTILIZED FOR THESE PROJECTS. THE PROJECTS FUNDS WERE USED FOR REPLACING FLOORING AND FURNISHINGS.
WE DETERMINED THERE WAS A NEED TO ENHANCE THE OUTDOOR LIVING SPACE AT WHEATLAND TERRACE AND PROGRAM FUNDS WERE USED TO PURCHASE NEW PATIO FURNISHINGS.
