THE ORGANIZATION'S PRIMARY EXEMPT PURPOSE IS TO PROMOTE THE SPORT OF CURLING.

THE ORGANIZATION'S PURPOSE IS TO PROMOTE THE SPORT OF CURLING, TO PROVIDE A FACILITY TO PARTICIPATE IN THE SPORT, TO INCREASE THE PARTICIPANT'S SKILLS AND TO CONDUCT BONSPIELS AND OTHER COMPETITIONS. THE ORGANIZATION HAD APPROXIMATELY 630 MEMBERS DURING THE CURRENT FISCAL YEAR. THERE WERE A TOTAL OF 11 FULL YEAR LEAGUES FOR THE CURRENT YEAR INCLUDING 2 MEN'S LEAGUES, 2 YOUTH LEAGUES, 3 OPEN LEAGUES, 2 NOVICE LEAGUES AND ALSO 1 LEAGUE EACH FOR WOMEN AND COMPETITIVE. THERE ALSO WAS A PART-YEAR LEAGUE FOR 5 - 9 YEAR OLD'S SO THEY COULD TRY OUT CURLING AT A YOUNGER AGE.(CONTINUED ON SCHEDULE O)THE ORGANIZATION HOSTED VARIOUS SESSIONS INCLUDING HIT/DRAW/TAP (A PROGRAM FOR YOUTH), "LEARN TO CURL" SESSIONS, AS WELL AS CURLING LESSONS AND OPEN CURLING. THROUGHOUT THE YEAR A FEW GROUPS FROM VARIOUS ORGANIZATIONS CAME IN TO LEARN ABOUT CURLING, INCLUDING STUDENTS FROM AREA SCHOOLS. THERE WERE THREE MINI-LEAGUES IN PLACE. THESE LEAGUES ARE SIX WEEKS EACH IN LENGTH - TO ALLOW NEW CURLERS TO GET A FEEL FOR A LEAGUE AND TO SEE IF THEY ENJOY THE SPORT OF CURLING. WE HAD CHILDREN'S WHEELCHAIR CURLING HELD AS A GROUP EVENT THIS YEAR INSTEAD OF AS A 6-WEEK LEAGUE.THE FARGO-MOORHEAD CURLING CLUB HOSTED THE COLLEGE NATIONALS DURING THE FISCAL YEAR. DURING THE FISCAL YEAR, SEVERAL BONSPIELS (TOURNAMENTS) WERE HELD.- THE REGULAR OPEN BONSPIEL DID RETURN AND CONTINUE AS USUAL IN DECEMBER 2021. IT WAS NOT HELD IN DECEMBER 2020 BECAUSE OF THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC. - THE "GREEN" BONSPIEL ALSO RESUMED IN JANUARY 2022, AFTER NOT BEING HELD IN JANUARY 2021 DUE TO THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC.-A BANTAM BONSPIEL FOR YOUTH WAS HELD DURING MARCH 2021.-THE "TWO-CLUBS'" BONSPIEL IN THE PAST WAS A COMBINATION TOURNAMENT BETWEEN THE FARGO-MOORHEAD AND SIOUX FALLS, SD CURLING CLUBS. SIOUX FALLS DOES NOT HAVE A DEDICATED ICE CURLING CLUB AND WANTED TO GET A FEEL FOR THE BONSPIEL ATMOSPHERE/EXPERIENCE. OVER THE YEARS, THE "TWO-CLUB'S" BONSPIEL HAS TURNED INTO A "FOUR CLUB'S" BONSPIEL IN WHICH ABERDEEN, SD AND YANKTON SD WERE ADDED. THIS BONSPIEL WAS HELD IN MARCH 2022.
