THE PURPOSE OF THE SEDALIA AREA CHAMBER OF COMMERCE IS TO PROMOTE AND ENCOURAGE BUSINESS ACTIVITY AND TO IMPROVE THE QUALITY OF LIFE IN SEDALIA FOR ITS MEMBERS.

EXTENDS A NEIGHBORHOOD CONCEPT TO WHITEMAN AIR FORCE BASE AND PROMOTES SEDALIA TO NEWLY STATIONED PERSONNEL THROUGH THE PROGRAM "RIGHT START." THE MILITARY AFFAIRS COMMITTEE DISTRIBUTES SEDALIA INFORMATION TO MILITARY PERSONNEL, HOSTS THE WHITEMAN MEMORIAL WREATH CEREMONY, AND SUPPORTS WHITEMAN AIR FORCE BASE ACTIVITIES. THESE MAY INCLUDE THE AIR SHOW, TOPS IN BLUE PERFORMANCE, QUARTERLY AND ANNUAL AWARDS, AND BASE COMMUNITY COUNCIL FUNCTIONS.
THE SEDALIA CHAMBER HAS A MONTHLY BREAKFAST ON THE SECOND THURSDAY OF THE MONTH AT THE LIFE POINTE CHURCH IN SEDALIA. THIS EVENT BRINGS THE CHAMBER COMMUNITY TOGETHER TO SHARE INFORMATION ABOUT LOCAL BUSINESSES.

LEADERSHIP SEDALIA - THE SEDALIA AREA CHAMBER OF COMMERCE LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM IS A COMPREHENSIVE LEADERSHIP-TRAINING CURRICULUM. SINCE 1987, APPROXIMATELY THREE HUNDRED VERY DIVERSE CURRENT AND EMERGING LEADERS HAVE COME TOGETHER THROUGH LEADERSHIP SEDALIA TO BUILD UPON THEIR LEADERSHIP SKILLS, TO STRENGTHEN INDIVIDUAL NETWORKING TECHNIQUES, TO INCREASE COMMUNITY AWARENESS, AND TO INCREASE INVOLVEMENT WITHIN THE COMMUNITY.
