THE MISSION OF THE COXHEALTH FOUNDATION IS TO FACILITATE THROUGH PHILANTHROPY THE QUALITY HEALTH CARE,EDUCATION AND RESEARCH PROVIDED BY COXHEALTH.
Describe the Organization's Program Activity:
THE LARGEST PROGRAM WAS FACILITY SUPPORT. IN THIS TIME PERIOD THE FOUNDATION RAN A FUNDRAISING CAMPAIGN TO BUILD A NEW HOSPITAL IN MONETT, MISSOURI AND THIS ACCOUNTED FOR A LOT OF THE GIVING TO THIS CATEGORY. THIS FUNDRAISING CAMPAIGN'S FOCUS WAS TO OFFER CONTINUED ACCESS TO HEALTHCARE FOR PEOPLE IN THE REGIONS OF BARRY AND LAWRENCE COUNTIES. ADDITIONALLY, THE FOUNDATION DOES SUPPORT ONGOING FACILITY NEEDS THAT ADDRESS THE ABILITY OF COXHEALTH TO PROVIDE THE HIGHEST QUALITY OF CARE FOR ALL PATIENTS, WHEREVER THEY ENTER THE HEALTH SYSTEM.
THE SECOND LARGEST PROGRAM WAS GRANT SUPPORT. THE FOUNDATION IS RESPONSIBLE FOR WRITING FOR FEDERAL, STATE AND PRIVATE FUNDING SUPPORT TO ADDRESS AND MEET THE STRATEGIC GOALS AND INITIATIVES OF COXHEALTH. GRANTS FUNDED INCLUDED TELEMEDICINE FOR RURAL REGIONS TO CREATE GREATER ACCESS TO CARE IN SCHOOLS AND OTHER LOCATIONS, TO SUPPORT QUALITY IMPROVEMENT ACROSS THE HEALTH SYSTEM, TO ADDRESS SEXUAL ASSAULT NURSE EXAMINER PROGRAM ESTABLISHMENT IN RURAL AREAS AND OTHER FUNDING THAT ADDRESSED THE NEEDS OF OUR PATIENTS. GRANTS ALSO PROVIDED SUPPORT FOR LIFELINE CARE FOR SENIORS, MUSIC THERAPY FOR INFANTS IN THE INTENSIVE CARE UNIT AND DENTAL CARE FOR CANCER PATIENTS.
THE THIRD LARGEST PROGRAM WAS OUR PATIENT SERVICES. THIS REPRESENTS DIRECT FINANCIAL SUPPORT FOR PATIENT CARE INCLUDING MONTHLY GRANTS FOR INPATIENT CARE, MEDICATIONS, TRAVEL ASSISTANCE, SPECIAL NEEDS SUPPORT FOR ITEMS LIKE MASTECTOMY SUPPLIES, NUTRITIONAL SUPPLEMENTS, MEAL VOUCHERS WHILE RECEIVING CARE, BREAST PUMPS, PREVENTION SCREENINGS, FREE COLONOSCOPIES, LIFELINE SERVICES FOR THE ELDERLY, SUPPORT FOR HOSPICE PATIENTS, REHAB CARE FOR TRAUMA AND CARDIAC PATIENTS, SUPPORT FOR STROKE CARE AND MORE.
