PROVIDE SCHOLARSHIP GRANTS TO QUALIFIED ACTIVE EDUCATION EMPLOYEES OF THE ST. LOUIS CITY PUBLIC SCHOOL SYSTEM. NUMBER OF SCHOLARSHIPS/GRANTS = 424. THIS PROGRAM BENEFITS THE COMMUNITY AT LARGE BY ATTRACTING AND RETAINING EMPLOYEES TO PUBLIC SCHOOL SYSTEM, AS WELL AS BY IMPROVING THE JOB RELATED SKILLS OF THESE EMPLOYEES.
PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT GRANTS PROVIDE FOR AN INDIVIDUAL AND/OR STAFF GROUP OF THE ST. LOUIS PUBLIC SCHOOLS TO PARTICIPATE IN WORKSHOPS AND PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMS, SEMINARS OR ACTIVITIES WHICH MAY RESULT IN COLLEGE CREDITS. NUMBER OF GRANTS = 156
