PROJECT REAL REDUCES CRIME, PROTECTS STUDENTS' FUTURES, AND MAKES NEVADA SAFER FOR EVERYONE. WE DO THIS BY ENGAGING THE STUDENTS WE REACH IN CONVERSATIONS ABOUT LAWS, THE CONSEQUENCES OF BREAKING LAWS, CONSTITUTIONAL RIGHTS, AND HOW TO EXERCISE THOSE RIGHTS. JUSTICE IS ROOTED IN KNOWLEDGE, AND OUR WORK BRINGS MORE FAIRNESS AND JUSTICE INTO THE LIVES OF THE STUDENTS WE REACH. FOR THAT REASON, ALL OF OUR RESOURCES ARE AVAILABLE AT NO COST TO THE SCHOOLS, ORGANIZATIONS, AND FAMILIES OF NEVADA WHO WISH TO USE THEM.

PROJECT REAL'S SEQUENTIAL EDUCATION PROGRAM TURNED ALL OF PROJECT REAL'S PREVIOUS 'PROGRAMS' INTO STEPS IN A SINGLE PROGRAM. NOW, EACH GRADE HAS A UNIQUE ACTIVITY OR ACADEMIC RESOURCE THAT'S BEEN ADJUSTED TO SPECIFICALLY SERVE THE STUDENTS AT THAT LEVEL. WHILE THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC SEVERELY IMPACTED HOW STUDENTS WERE SERVED BY PROJECT REAL, THE ORGANIZATION USED DOWNTIME TO COMPLETE AND ADVANCE A NUMBER OF NEW RESOURCES. BY THE END OF THE FISCAL YEAR, WE HOSTED A DOMESTIC VIOLENCE INTERVENTION RESOURCE AND A NEW RESOURCE DESIGNED TO ADDRESS STUDENTS' BEHAVIOR AS THEY RETURNED TO THEIR CLASSROOMS. ADDITIONALLY, WHILE IN-PERSON FIELDTRIPS HAD NOT RESUMED, VIRTUAL VISITS BY JUDGES SERVED AS A REPLACEMENT. FOR THE FISCAL YEAR ENDED JUNE 30, 2022, WE SERVED A TOTAL OF 12,474 STUDENTS AND 8,373 ADULTS.
