TO ASSIST IMPOVERISHED CHILDREN AND FAMILIES IN THE AREAS OF FOOD, NECESSITIES, SCHOOL ATTENDANCE, TUTORING, AND/OR SPECIAL CLASSES WHILE SHARING GODS WORD.

RIOS DE ESPERENZA, JEREZ, ZACATECAS, MEXICO OPERATED OUTREACH PROGRAMS THROUGH LOCAL CHURCHES. WE WERE RETURNING TO NORMAL AFTER COVID. WE CONTINUED TO PROVIDE FOOD, SUMMER CAMPS, RETREATS, CHILDHOOD DEVELOPMENT, SPORTS AND MUSIC, AND ARTS TRAINING. WE WORKED WITH MANY FAMILIES IN IMPOVERISHED AREAS AND HELPED TO TEACH THEM HOW TO TAKE CARE OF THEIR CHILDREN.
FIRST BAPTIST CHURCH, CORINTO, NICARAGUA WE PROVIDED FOOD AND MEDICINES TO OVER 300 FAMILIAES DURING COVID. THE MEDICINES WERE DELIVERED BY OUR STAFF, UNDER SAFE CONDITIONS. WE CARED FOR THE FEW WHO HAD TO BE HOSPITALIZED. ONCE WE PASSED THE SUMMER, COVID BEGAN TO EASE AND WE WERE ABLE TO PROVIDE THE ON-SITE PROGRAMS WARM FOOD, CAMPS, CHILDHOOD DEVELOPMENT, SPORTS, MUSIC AND ARTS TRAINING. WE HAD 7 STUDENTS GRADUATE FROM OUR MUSIC AND ARTS ACADEMY OUR FIRST GRADUATES WE CONTINUED TO WORK ON ISLA CASTONONES, CARING FOR FAMILIES THERE. WE HAVE AN EXTENSION CENTER IN LA COSTITA WHERE WE PROVIDE THE SAME SERVICES AS WE HAVE IN CORINTO. WE HAVE ALSO EXPANDED OUR PROGRAMS TO PASO DE LAJAS IN LEON, WORKING WITH OVER 100 PEOPLE THERE.
WARM CHRISTMAS PROJECT BECAUSE OF COVID, WE SCALED BACK TO A SINGLE LOCATION, WHERE WE PASSED OUT 170 BACKPACKS WITH HYGIENE ITEMS, BLANKETS, TOYS, COMB, NOTEBOOKS AND A RULER TO EACH CHILD. THE CHILDREN WERE TREATED TO A CHRISTMAS PARTY WITH GAMES, CANDY, AND PHOTO OPS WITH SANTA. THE UNDISTRIBUTED BACKPACKS WERE TAKEN TO JEREZ IN JANUARY FOR THE STAFF TO DELIVER. A TOTAL OF 358 BACKPACKS WERE GIVEN AWAY.
