TO ENHANCE THE QUALITY OF LIFE AND STIMULATE POSITIVE ECONOMIC GROWTH FOR OUR COMMUNITY BY PROMOTING AND DEVELOPING THE SPRINGFIELD AREA AS A SPORTS VENUE FOR QUALITY AMATEUR, COLLEGIATE, AND PROFESSIONAL SPORTING EVENTS.

PREMIER BASEBALL CHAMPIONSHIPS THE PREMIER BASEBALL INCOMING FRESHMAN FEATURED 20 TEAMS FROM 4 DIFFERENT STATES AND FEATURED COMPETITION AND ACTIVITIES OVER THE COURSE OF 4 DAYS EACH. STATE HIGH SCHOOL ACTIVITIES ASSOCIATION MSHSAA EVENTS SUPPORTED BY THE SPRINGFIELD SPORTS COMMISSION INCLUDED STATE BASKETBALL CHAMPIONSHIPS, STATE SPRING SOFTBALL CHAMPIONSHIPS, STATE FALL SOFTBALL CHAMPIONSHIPS, STATE GOLF CHAMPIONSHIPS FOR BOYS AND GIRLS, STATE TENNIS CHAMPIONSHIPS FOR BOYS AND GIRLS, AND STATE BASEBALL CHAMPIONSHIPS. NATIONAL CHRISTIAN HOMESCHOOL BASKETBALL CHAMPIONSHIPS 350 BASKETBALL TEAMS FROM ACROSS THE COUNTRY ATTEND THE 6 DAY TOURNAMENT IN SPRINGFIELD. NATIONAL CHRISTIAN HOMESCHOOL SPRING NATIONALS THE SPRING NATIONALS NORMALLY FEATURE OVER 1,000 ATHLETES IN SPRINGFIELD COMPETING IN SOCCER, TRACK & FIELD AND GOLF CHAMPIONSHIPS. USA BMX GOLD CUP 535 ATHLETES FROM 19 STATES COMPETED AT THE SPOKES BMX RACEWAY. MIDWEST CHEER & DANCE COMPETITION 700 ATHLETES FROM AROUND THE MIDWEST COMPETED AT THE SPRINGFIELD EXPO CENTER. THE SPRINGFIELD SPORTS COMMISSION AWARDS EVENT WAS HELD JUNE 2022. THE RECOGNITION EVENT WHICH CELEBRATES THE OUTSTANDING ATHLETIC ACHIEVEMENTS IN AREA SCHOLASTIC ATHLETICS IN THE REGION. THIS YEAR'S EVENT HAD OVER 900 IN ATTENDANCE. SUPPORT OF THE PGA'S KORN FERRY TOUR EVENT PRICE CUTTER CHARITY CHAMPIONSHIP PRESENTED BY OZARKS COCA-COLA DR PEPPER. THE EVENT FEATURES THE FUTURE STARS OF THE PGA AND USUALLY DRAWS OVER 40,000 SPECTATORS. SUPPORT OF LOCAL HALL OF FAMES MISSOURI SPORTS HALL OF FAME INDUCTION CEREMONIES AND PROGRAMMING ARE SUPPORTED BY SPRINGFIELD SPORTS COMMISSION.
