THE HG FOUNDATION SUPPORTED THE OPENING RECEPTION FOR CRUEL YOUTH DIARY, CHINESE PHOTOGRAPHY AND VIDEO FROM THE HAUDENSCHILD COLLECTION. THE OPENING INCLUDED A DINNER AT THE HAMMER MUSEUM WITH CHIEF CURATOR, CONNIE BUTLER AND TEAM, MUSEUM DIRECTOR ANN PHILBIN AND STAFF, CHINESE CURATOR FROM MOCA, CHINESE ARTISTS, MUSEUM DIRECTORS, AND ARTISTS.
IN THE SUMMER OF 2023, HG FOUNDATION INVITED ARTIST REINGART SELVIK TO CREATE A SITE-SPECIFIC ARTWORK. HIS INITIAL PROPOSAL FOCUSED ON THE PERCEPTION OF TIME AND THE DEPTH OF OUR EXPERIENCES THAT IMPACT THE WAY WE PERCEIVE THE PHYSICAL WORLD. ARTIST FEE OF $8,500 PLUS MATERIALS FOR $1,570 WERE SUPPLIED.
HG FOUNDATION SUPPORTED THE OPENING OF ARTIST, REINHART SELVIK, INSTALLATION WITHOUT ACTION FRACTURED FACES, WITH A DINNER THAT INCLUDED ARTIST KIM MACCONNEL, JEAN LOWE, CATHE BURNHAM, MARY BEEBE AND THE DIRECTOR OF THE ATHENAEUM AND STAFF.
HG FOUNDATION SUPPORTED THE ANNUAL INSITE INSIDERS GROUP WITH A RECEPTION THAT INCLUDED STRATEGIC FOUNDERS, PARTNERS AND BENEFACTORS AS WELL AS THE INSITERS 2023 GROUP.
