THE IOTA'S PRIMARY MISSION RELATES TO EDUCATION, ADVOCACY, AND SCHOLARSHIP ON BEHALF OF ITS MEMBERS. WITH RESPECT TO EDUCATION AND SCHOLARSHIP, A YEARLY FALL CONFERENCE WAS HELD WHERE MEMBERS COULD RECEIVE EDUCATION AND RESEARCH BASED INFORMATION RELATED TO THE PRACTICE OF OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY. AT THE FALL CONFERENCE, THE MEMBERS MEETING IS HELD TO COMMUNICATE SIGNIFICANT LICENSE AND LEGISLATIVE INFORMATION THAT IMPACTS PRACTICE. TO FURTHER COMMUNICATE WITH MEMBERS, THERE ARE 4 NEWSLETTERS YEARLY AND ADDITIONAL EMAIL CONTACTS AS LEGISLATIVE ISSUES ARISE. WITH RESPECT TO ADVOCACY, GENERAL LEGISLATIVE AND ISSUE COVERAGE IS MONITORED BY A LOBBYING FIRM WITH COMMUNICATION RELATED TO THAT OFFERED TO MEMBERS.
