THE ORGANIZATION PROVIDES A "HOME AWAY FROM HOME" FOR FAMILIES WITH SERIOUSLY ILL OR INJURED CHILDREN RECEIVING MEDICAL CARE IN LOCAL AREA HOSPITALS. FAMILIES STAY HERE BECAUSE THE CRITICAL MEDICAL CARE THEIR CHILD NEEDS IS NOT AVAILABLE IN THEIR HOME COMMUNITIES. A NOMINAL FEE OF $10 IS ASKED FOR PER NIGHT. HOWEVER, IF A FAMILY IS UNABLE TO PAY THIS FEE, THEY ARE NOT TURNED AWAY AND CAN STAY AS LONG AS THEIR NEED EXISTS. THE ORGANIZATION PROVIDES SERVICES TO FAMILIES OF CHILDREN, FROM NEWBORNS TO AGE 21.
