THE MAPLE GROVE FIREFIGHTERS RELIEF ASSOCIATION (MGFRA) MANAGES A DEFINED CONTRIBUTION PENSION THAT PAYS A LUMP SUM SERVICE PENSION BASED ON A RETIRING FIREFIGHTER'S ACCOUNT BALANCE.


THE MGFRA AWARDS GRANTS ON AN ANNUAL BASIS, EXAMPLES INCLUDE: A CITY GOVERNMENT THAT SUPPORTS ITS FIREFIGHTERS IN CARDIAC AND CANCER SUPPORT, FOOD SHELVES, COMMUNITY AGENCIES SUPPORTING THE RESIDENTS OF THE CITY OF MAPLE GROVE, AND INDIVIDUALS TO PAY FOR MEDICAL EXPENSES.
