THE ASSOCIATION PROVIDES PENSION BENEFITS TO RETIRED MEMBERS OF THE VOLUNTEER FIREFIGHTERS OF THE COLD SPRING FIRE DEPARTMENT. THE ASSOCIATION ALSO PROVIDES EDUCATION AND TRAINING TO MEMBERS.

COLD SPRING FIRE DEPARTMENT RELIEF ASSOCIATION WAS ORGANIZED TO ACCOUNT FOR PENSION FUNDS FOR RETIRING MEMBERS, AS WELL AS PROVIDING TRAINING AND EDUCATION FOR FIRE SERVICES. REVENUE EARNED AND SUPPORT RECEIVED IS USED TO PAY PENSIONS AND PROVIDE FOR EDUCATION PROGRAMS FOR FIREFIGHTERS. DURING THE YEAR, THERE WERE 26 ACTIVE MEMBERS AND 5 INACTIVE MEMBERS WHO ARE DEFERRED.THE ASSOCIATION CONDUCTS CHARITABLE GAMBLING FOR THE PURPOSE OF MAKING LAWFUL PURPOSE DONATIONS IN ACCORDANCE WITH MINNESOTA STATE STATUTES. THE MAIN BENEFICIARY OF THE DONATIONS IS THE CITY OF COLD SPRING.
