THE DEPARTMENT PROVIDES EMERGENCY RESPONSE FOR 911 CALLS INCLUDING, STRUCTURE AND WILDLAND FIRE RESPONSE, TRAFFIC ACCIDENTS, EMERGENCY MEDICAL AID AND RESCUE, RESIDENTIAL MEDICAL AID AND PUBLIC SERVICES. IN COOPERATION WITH THE SHELTER VALLEY CITIZEN'S CORP., THE DEPARTMENT OPERATES AN OFFICIAL AMERICAN RED CROSS EMERGENCY SHELTER FOR EVACUEES, ON AN AS NEEDED BASIS.
