THROUGHOUT 30 YEARS, HUNGER RELATED EVENTS (HRE), HAS DEVELOPED NUMEROUS PROGRAMS AND EVENTS THAT ALL WORK TO END HUNGER IN AMERICA. NOW ENTERING ITS 31ST YEAR, $26 MILLION HAS BEEN DISTRIBUTED TO FOOD BANKS ACROSS AMERICA THROUGH ITS PROCEEDS.HRE HOSTS AN ANNUAL GOLF EVENT CALLED TASTE FORE THE TOUR. THIS PREMIER DINING EVENT BRINGS TOGETHER TOP CULINARY TALENT AND CELEBRITIES TO RAISE AWARENESS AND DONATIONS TO ADDRESS THE NEEDS OF THE HUNGRY AND THE HOMELESS. PROCEEDS FROM THE EVENT GO TO VEAP, ONE OF THE LARGEST FOOD PANTRIES IN MINNESOTA, PROVIDING MILLIONS OF MEALS ANNUALLY TO COMMUNITY MEMBERS IN NEED.HRE HAS PRODUCED A RADIOTHON WITH WCCO RADIO FOR THE PAST FOURTEEN YEARS. THE RECIPIENT OF THIS EVENT IS SECOND HARVEST HEARTLAND.HRE ALSO FOUNDED A RUN AND TASTE OF THE TWIN CITIES EVENT THAT HAS BEEN HOSTED FOR THE PAST TWO YEARS.
