PRE-KINDERGARTEN CEDAR RIVERSIDE COMMUNITY SCHOOL (CRCS) HAS BEEN AN APPROVED VOLUNTARY PRE-KINDERGARTEN PROGRAM BY THE MINNESOTA DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION. THE PROGRAM ENROLLS UP TO 20 STUDENTS AND IT'S VERY POPULAR WITHIN THE CEDAR RIVERSIDE COMMUNITY. THERE IS A WAITING LIST EVERY YEAR FOR FAMILIES TO ENROLL THEIR CHILD IN PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT. CTCS CONTINUES TO PROVIDE ON-SITE TRAINING AND CERTIFICATION FOR TEACHERS AND PARAPROFESSIONALS IN THE AREA OF ENVOY. CRCS PARTICIPANTS IN A PROGRAM THROUGH THE MINNESOTA DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION CALLED ADSIS (ALTERNATIVE DELIVERY OF SPECIALIZED INSTRUCTIONAL SERVICES). THE PROGRAM ASSISTS STUDENTS WHO NEED ADDITIONAL ACADEMIC AND/OR BEHAVIORAL SUPPORT IN THE GENERAL EDUCATION SETTING AFTER SCHOOL PROGRAM. CRCS CONTINUED TO HAVE THEIR AFTER-SCHOOL PROGRAM FOR STUDENTS IN GRADES K TO 8 DURING THE 2020-21 SCHOOL YEAR. OVER 100 STUDENTS PARTICIPATED IN THE PROGRAM. THE AFTER-SCHOOL PROGRAM WAS TAUGHT BY CRCS TEACHERS AND TEACHING ASSISTANTS. THE PROGRAM FOCUSES ON REINFORCING MATH, READING AND BEHAVIOR FOR STUDENTS. IT RAN FROM OCTOBER TO MAY. SUMMER SCHOOL CRCS HAS A SUMMER PROGRAM FOR STUDENTS IN GRADES K TO 8 DURING THE SUMMER ENTERING KINDERGARTEN TO 8TH GRADE PARTICIPATED IN THE PROGRAM. OVER 60 STUDENTS PARTICIPATED IN THE SUMMER PROGRAM.
