IN FY 2022 ACTION FUND STAFF CONTINUED TO COLLABORATE WITH ALLIES AT THE MINNESOTA LEGISLATURE AND IN THE GOVERNOR'S OFFICE TO ADVANCE BILLS TO PROTECT AND EXPAND ACCESS TO ABORTION, BIRTH CONTROL, AND INCREASE FUNDING FOR REPRODUCTIVE HEALTH CARE. IN PREPARATION FOR THE U.S. SUPREME COURT RULING ON DOBBS V. JACKSON, STAFF WORKED WITH THE GOVERNOR'S OFFICE AND THE ATTORNEY GENERAL'S OFFICE ON ADDITIONAL PROTECTIONS FOR THOSE SEEKING ABORTION CARE. ADDITIONALLY, STAFF BEGAN WORKING WITH LOCAL ELECTED OFFICIALS TO FURTHER PROTECT AND EXPAND ACCESS TO SEXUAL AND REPRODUCTIVE HEALTH CARE.(CONTINUED IN SCHEDULE O)ACTION FUND STAFF IN ALL THREE STATES OPERATED A SOPHISTICATED DIGITAL PROGRAM THAT GENERATED 32,369 WEBSITE VISITS, 41 BLOG POSTS, 702 NEW FACEBOOK FOLLOWERS, 636 NEW TWITTER FOLLOWERS, AND 2,278 NEW INSTAGRAM FOLLOWERS.IN MINNESOTA, STAFF PREPARED FOR AND ACTED IN RESPONSE TO THE SUPREME COURT DECISION TO OVERTURN ROE V. WADE, ORGANIZED SUPPORTERS TO LOBBY THEIR ELECTED OFFICIALS TO PASS THE PROTECT REPRODUCTIVE OPTIONS (PRO) ACT, AND CONTINUED TO GROW OUR YOUTH AND CAMPUS ORGANIZING WORK.DURING THE MINNESOTA LEGISLATIVE SESSION, ACTION FUND STAFF ENGAGED THOUSANDS OF PEOPLE THROUGH GRASSROOTS ORGANIZING, TEXT BANKING, RELATIONAL ORGANIZING, AND DIGITAL OUTREACH TO COMBAT ANTI-REPRODUCTIVE HEALTH BILLS AND ADVANCE PROACTIVE BILLS TO PROTECT AND EXPAND ACCESS TO ALL REPRODUCTIVE OPTIONS.FOLLOWING THE PASSAGE OF SB 8 IN TEXAS, STAFF HELD A SERIES OF EVENTS HIGHLIGHTING THE DANGER OF ABORTION RESTRICTIONS. THESE EVENTS INCLUDED TWO PRESS CONFERENCES, A ROUNDTABLE DISCUSSION FEATURING SENATOR TINA SMITH, STATE REPRESENTATIVE KELLY MORRISON, AND DR. RACHEL HARDEMAN, A MARCH FOR REPRODUCTIVE FREEDOM ATTENDED BY THOUSANDS OF SUPPORTERS IN MINNEAPOLIS, AND A SERIES OF MARCHES IN OTHER LOCATIONS ACROSS THE STATE.STAFF HELD NUMEROUS EVENTS AND ACTIONS IN PREPARATION FOR AND IN RESPONSE TO THE SUPREME COURT DECISION TO OVERTURN ROE V WADE. PRIOR TO THE DECISION, WE HELD A SERIES OF EDUCATIONAL AND ACTION-ORIENTED EVENTS, INCLUDING GRASSROOTS ORGANIZING AND LOBBYING FOR THE PASSAGE OF THE PROTECT REPRODUCTIVE OPTIONS ACT. FOLLOWING THE DECISION, WE HELD RALLIES IN CITIES ACROSS THE STATE, AND ENGAGED VOLUNTEERS IN DOOR KNOCKING, PHONE BANKING, TEXT BANKING, RELATIONAL ORGANIZING, AND OTHER EVENTS TO LEARN MORE AND TAKE ACTION.THE ACTION FUND HELD A SERIES CALLED COFFEE WITH CHAMPIONS WHERE WE DISCUSSED THE STATUS OF REPRODUCTIVE RIGHTS WITH LIEUTENANT GOVERNOR PEGGY FLANAGAN, CONGRESSWOMAN ANGIE CRAIG, SPEAKER MELISSA HORTMAN, AND MINORITY LEADER MELISSA LOPEZ FRANZEN.STAFF IN MINNESOTA HELD VARIOUS VIRTUAL LOBBY DAYS OVER THE COURSE OF THE LEGISLATIVE SESSION. PLANNED PARENTHOOD GENERATION ACTION YOUTH CHAPTERS, TEEN COUNCIL MEMBERS, AND PARTNER ORGANIZATIONS JOINED VIRTUAL MEETINGS WITH THEIR ELECTED OFFICIALS TO DISCUSS THE IMPORTANCE OF THE PRO ACT, AND BILLS FOR COMPREHENSIVE SEXUALITY EDUCATION AND MENSTRUAL EQUITY.SOUTH DAKOTA STAFF WORKED DILIGENTLY THROUGH THE 2022 LEGISLATIVE SESSION TO HELP DEFEAT SEVERAL ANTI CHOICE AND ANTI TRANSGENDER BILLS. SESSION BEGAN WITH A BAN ON TELEHEALTH CARE FOR ABORTIONS IN THE STATE.STAFF SUPPORTED RALLIES ACROSS THE STATE IN SUPPORT OF PRO-CHOICE CANDIDATES.
