A MONTHLY BUSINESS MEETING ON ZOOM IS HELD AND IS OPEN TO ALL 640 MEMBERS.
THE MAVT CONVENTION BRINGS TOGETHER OVER 400 MAVT MEMBERS FOR EDUCATIONAL PURPOSES. WE HOST OVER 50 SESSIONS OF CONTINUING EDUCATION OPPORTUNITIES FOR VETERINARY TECHNICIANS IN OUR REGION. THE EVENT IS HELD OVER TWO DAYS IN FEBRUARY OF EACH YEAR. IN ADDITION TO CONTINUING EDUCATION, WE ALSO HAVE AN ANNUAL BUSINESS MEETING WHERE WE PROVIDE A LOOK BACK ON THE YEAR AS WELL AS LOOKING FORWARD TO IMPORTANT ISSUES TO THE VETERINARY TECHNICIAN PROFESSION. AT THIS BUSINESS MEETING WE ALSO ANNOUNCE OUR NEWLY ELECTED LEADERSHIP.
DURING THE MONTH OF OCTOBER, THERE IS VETERINARY TECHNICIAN APPRECIATION WEEK. MAVT HOSTS 2-4 HOURS OF VIRTUAL EDUCATIONAL SESSIONS DURING THAT WEEK FOR CONTINUING EDUCATION FOR OUR MEMBERSHIP.
PRODUCTION OF A MONTHLY NEWSLETTER INCLUDING VETERINARY MEDICAL TIPS AND ARTICLES, CONTINUING EDUCATION OPPORTUNITIES, AND JOB OPENINGS. IT WAS MADE AVAILABLE ONLINE AND NOTICES WERE EMAILED TO THE 640 MEMBERS.
