TO MANAGE AND MAINTAIN THE FACILITIES AND GROUNDS OF MOUNT ITASCA IN ORDER TO PROVIDE OPPORTUNITIES TO RESIDENTS OF ITASCA COUNTY AND VISITORS FOR YEAR-ROUND RECREATION, HEALTH, FITNESS AND ATHLETIC EXCELLENCE.

Part 3 - Line 4a

ITASCA SKI AND OUTING HOSTED CERTIFIED JUMP TOURNAMENTS ON THE 70 METER HILL HAVING COMPLETED THE CONSTRUCTION OF THE REGULATION SIDEBOARDS. SKI JUMPERS SPORTED NEW SKIS, HELMETS AND BOOTS AT THE TOURNAMENTS. ALL SIX SNOW MAKING GUNS WERE UPGRADED WITH DONATIONS FROM INTERESTED PARTIES. PARENTS ENJOYED LEARNING TO ALPINE SKI OR SNOWBOARD WITH THIER CHILDREN DURING THE AFTER SCHOOL PROGRAMS AND THE SUNDAY AFTERNOON CROSS-COUNTRY SESSIONS. MANY FAMILIES PARTICIPATED IN THE LEARN TO RIDE OR SNOWBOARD, LEARN TO SKI JUMP OR THE CROSS COUNTRY SKI PROGRAMS. TUBING WAS A POPULAR ACTIVITY THROUGHOUT THE SEASON. FOUR SCHOOL DISTRICTS HOSTED TUBING EVENTS FOR STUDENTS.
