Describe the Organization's Program Activity:
FISCAL INTERMEDIARY/EMPLOYER OF RECORD- MRCI WAS ONE OF THE FIRST AGENCIES IN MINNESOTA TO OFFER EMPLOYER OF RECORD/FISCAL INTERMEDIARY SERVICES AS A FISCAL SUPPORT ENTITY. IN 2004, MRCI BECAME CERTIFIED BY THE DEPARTMENT OF HUMAN SERVICES AS A FISCAL SUPPORT ENTITY. IN 2010, MRCI RECEIVED CERTIFICATION FOLLOWING A READINESS REVIEW FOR VDHCBS SERVICES. A FISCAL SUPPORT ENTITY IS AN UMBRELLA AGENCY THAT OFFERS A WIDE RANGE OF FISCAL EMPLOYER AGENT SERVICES INCLUDING CONSUMER DIRECTED COMMUNITY SUPPORTS. IN 2018, MRCI WAS GRANTED AN RFP FROM THE STATE OF MN TO CONTINUE PROVIDING FISCAL EMPLOYER AGENT SERVICES THROUGHOUT THE STATE AS A FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT SERVICE. MRCI ALSO PROVIDES PCA CHOICE AND 245D LICENSED SERVICES INCLUDING PERSONAL SUPPORT, RESPITE AND HOMEMAKER. 2451 FAMILIES WERE SUPPORTED IN 2021.

WHILE RECEIVING QUALITY SUPPORT, PARTICIPANTS ARE OFFERED OPPORTUNITIES TO: LEARN AND APPLY ESSENTIAL LIFE SKILLS SUCH AS: SELF-ADVOCACY, INDEPENDENT LIVING, HEALTH AND WELLNESS, COMMUNITY SAFETY, AND SOCIAL SKILLS. DAY SERVICES MAY BE PROVIDED IN ONE (OR ALL) OF THE FOLLOWING WAYS:COMMUNITY BASED-DAY SERVICES PROVIDE THE OPPORTUNITY TO GAIN SKILLS THAT PROMOTE COMMUNITY PARTICIPATION. A CALENDAR OF PERSON-CENTERED TOPICS FOR PERSONAL AND PROFESSIONAL GROWTH IS PROVIDED MONTHLY. VIRTUAL CELEBRATED IT'S FIRST BIRTHDAY IN JUNE AND MORE THAN 1300 SESSIONS WERE OFFERED IN 2021.EASE-EASE IS A PROGRAM FOR PEOPLE WITH DISABILITIES WHO ARE TYPICALLY 55 PLUS, SEEKING MEANINGFUL EXPERIENCES TO FILL THEIR DAY AS AN ALTERNATIVE TO WORK. OUR EXPERIENCED STAFF PROVIDE GUIDANCE AND SUPPORT WHILE CREATING AN ENJOYABLE, INDIVIDUALIZED PLAN FOR PARTICIPANTS TO ENHANCE COMMUNITY ACCESS AND IMPROVE THEIR SOCIAL SKILLS.
EMPLOYMENT SERVICES - MRCI OFFERS A VARIETY OF PERSON-CENTERED PROGRAMS TO ASSIST INDIVIDUALS IN FINDING AND KEEPING A JOB IN THEIR COMMUNITY. AT THE CORE OF THESE SERVICES IS THE DESIRE TO PROVIDE INDIVIDUALIZED SERVICES THAT MEET THE SPECIFIC NEEDS AND WISHES OF THE INDIVIDUAL.
