SKILLED NURSING CARE - LONG TERM AND SHORT TERM. LONG-TERM - JONES-HARRISON PROVIDES A PERMANENT HOME FOR RESIDENTS WHO NEED ROUND THE CLOCK NURSING ASSISTANCE. WE ASSESS EACH RESIDENT'S HEALTH, EMOTIONAL AND SPIRITUAL NEEDS, AND PROVIDE THE NECESSARY ASSISTANCE TO ENSURE THE BEST QUALITY OF LIFE IN A SAFE, SECURE ENVIRONMENT. OUR MEMORY CARE FLOOR CONSISTS OF 5 NEIGHBORHOODS WITH BRIGHT MURALS AND UNIQUE ENVIRONMENTS. EACH NEIGHBORHOOD HAS A FAMILY GREATROOM WITH A FUNCTIONING KITCHEN AND ALL MEALS ARE SERVED THERE EVERYDAY. EACH AND EVERY ASPECT GIVES RESIDENTS A FEELING OF COMFORT AND FAMILIARITY, AND MOST OF ALL, A SENSE OF HOME. IN 2020, WE WERE HOME TO 187 DIFFERENT RESIDENTS. SHORT TERM - OUR IN HOUSE THERAPY DEPARTMENT ALLOWS US TO PROVIDE INTENSIVE THERAPY IN 3 PRIMARY AREAS. PHYSICAL, OCCUPATIONAL, AND SPEECH. NURSES ARE STAFFED AROUND THE CLOCK AND THE STRONG RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN OUR NURSING AND THERAPY STAFFS ASSURE OUR DAILY INTERACTIONS ARE IN TUNE WITH THE RESTORATIVE PLAN FOR THE RESIDENT. WE TOOK CARE OF 118 PATIENTS IN OUR TRANSITIONAL CARE UNIT IN 2020. THE AVERAGE LENGTH OF STAY FOR OUR REHAB PATIENTS IS 21 DAYS.
ASSISTED LIVING - IT'S NOT ONLY THE COMFORTABLE APARTMENTS THAT MAKE ASSISTED LIVING AT JONES-HARRISON SO SPECIAL. WE ALSO PROVIDE MANY OPPORTUNITIES TO ENJOY LIFE, DEEPEN EXISTING FRIENDSHIPS AND GAIN NEW FRIENDSHIPS. THE FOLLOWING SERVICES ARE BROUGHT DIRECTLY TO JONES-HARRISON ASSISTED LIVING RESIDENTS, DRY CLEANING, ON-SITE BEAUTY, BARBER AND GIFT SHOPS, GUEST MEALS, AUDIOLOGIST, OPHTHALMOLOGIST, PODIATRIST, CONSULTING PSYCHOLOGIST, PHYSICIAN VISITS, DENTAL SERVICES AND TRANSPORTATION TO DOCTORS ON TUESDAYS, AND PHARMACY AND LAB SERVICES. WE ALSO PROVIDE DAILY ACTIVITIES AND WEEKLY EVENT OUTINGS FOR OUR RESIDENTS. WE RENTED APARTMENTS TO 59 TENANTS THROUGHOUT FISCAL YEAR 2021.
HOME CARE FOR ASSISTED LIVING RESIDENTS - THE MAJORITY OF OUR RESIDENTS NEED SOME LEVEL OF ASSISTANCE WITH THEIR DAILY NEEDS. THIS MAY INCLUDE MEDICINE SET UP AND ADMINISTRATION, HELP WITH PERSONAL CARE, LAUNDRY, HEALTHCARE AND SUPPORTIVE CARE SERVICES. WE'RE STAFFED DURING OFFICE HOURS WITH AN RN/LPN AND HOME HEALTH AIDES ARE ON DUTY 24 HOURS A DAY. OUR HOMECARE STAFF CARE FOR TENANT WITH THESE SERVICES. IT ALLOWS SOME TENANTS TO STAY AND LIVE IN THEIR APARTMENTS RATHER THAN HAVING TO MOVE TO A NURSING HOME.
