RESPITE: THIS PROGRAM OFFERS CAREGIVER RELIEF TO INDIVIDUALS CARING FOR A PERSON WITH A DISABILITY. RELIEF FROM CAREGIVING DUTIES PROVIDES AN OPPORTUNITY FOR THE CAREGIVER TO FOCUS ON THEIR OWN WELL-BEING AND SELF- CARE, PURSUE EMPLOYMENT, AND NURTURE OTHER RELATIONSHIPS THAT ARE IMPORTANT TO THEM. IN 2023 WE PROVIDED OVER 44,400 HOURS OF RESPITE TO ADULTS WITH DISABILITIES WITH EXPENSES TOTALING 1,222,393.
COMMUNITY PROGRAMS: OUR COMMUNITY BASED PROGRAMS CONSIST OF COMMUNITY- BASED ADULT DAY SERVICE, COVEY CONNECTS, AND ICAN SHINE BIKE CAMP. THESE PROGRAMS PROVIDE OPPORTUNITIES FOR INDIVIDUALS WITH DISABILITIES TO GAIN NEW SKILLS AND DEVELOP A SOCIAL NETWORK THAT FOSTERS A SENSE OF CONNECTEDNESS. OUR COMMUNITY-BASED PROGRAMS ARE ALL DESIGNED TO SUPPORT INDIVIDUALS AS THEY BUILD SKILLS AND GAIN CONFIDENCE WHILE NAVIGATING THE BROADER COMMUNITY. THE EXPENSES FOR THIS PROGRAM IN 2023 WERE 253,886.
