FARM-TO-SCHOOL & COMMUNITY: REAP'S FARM-TO-SCHOOL PROGRAM BRINGS FRESH, LOCAL, SUSTAINABLE PRODUCED FOOD TO CHILDREN, ESTABLISHES RELIABLE MARKETS FOR LOCAL FARMS, AND PROVIDES HANDS-ON EDUCATION IN MADISON CLASSROOMS. ADDITIONALLY, WE SUPPORT AND UPLIFT COMMUNITY-LED INITIATIVES TO MAKE HEALTHY SUSTAINABLY-GROWN WI FOOD ACCESSIBLE TO MARGINALIZED COMMUNITIES, AS EXEMPLIFIED BY OUR PARTNERSHIP WITH ROOTS4CHANGE TO LAUNCH FARMS 2 FAMILIES INITIATIVE IN 2020.


FARM-TO-BUSINESS: OUR FARM-TO-BUSINESS PROGRAM WORKS TO CONNECT OUR ATLAS FARMERS TO WHOLESALE BUYERS (RESTAURANTS, RETAIL AND ANCHOR INSTITUTIONS) AND TO ADDRESS SUPPLY-CHAIN CHALLENGES TO CREATING A ROBUST LOCAL FOOD SYSTEM IN DANE COUNTY AND SOUTHERN WI.


FARM FRESH ATLAS OF SOUTHERN WISCONSIN: THE FARM FRESH ATLAS OF SOUTHERN WI IS AN ANNUAL DIGITAL AND PRINT GUIDE TO OVER 130 FARMS, FARMERS' MARKETS AND RETAIL LOCATIONS THAT OFFER OPPORTUNITIES TO PURCHASE WISCONSIN-GROWN AND PRODUCED FOOD. ATLAS LISTEES TAKE A PLEDGE TO OPERATE THEIR BUSINESS IN ADHERENCE TO THE PRINCIPLES OF THE GOOD FOOD MOVEMENT: COOPERATIVELY OR FAMILY OWNED, PROTECTS LAND/WATER RESOURCES, SAFE, FAIRLY COMPENSATED JOBS AND HUMANE ANIMAL HUSBANDRY. REAP DISTRIBUTES OVER 32,000 COPIES OF THE ATLAS ANNUALLY.


REAP PROVIDES EDUCATION AND OUTREACH TO INCREASE AWARENESS OF THE IMPORTANCE OF SUSTAINABLE FARMING AND THE VALUE OF A STRONG LOCAL FOOD SYSTEM IN OUR REGION. WE PROVIDE WAYS FOR MEMBERS TO BE INVOLVED IN ADVOCACY AND ORGANIZATION AROUND ISSUES RELATED TO FOOD ACCESS AND SUSTAINABLE FARMING.
