SHALOM CENTER'S SOUP KITCHEN - MEALS THAT MATTER PROGRAM HAS VOLUNTEERS AND STAFF WHO PREPARE AND SERVE A COMPLETE BALANCED AND NUTRITIOUS MEAL TO NEEDY CHILDREN, FAMILIES AND INDIVIDUALS. THE KITCHEN PROVIDES A HOT MEAL INCLUDING SOUP, ENTREE, VEGETABLE OR POTATO, CHOICE OF SANDWICH, FRUIT, DESERT, MILK, JUICE OR COFFEE.
THE HEALTHY CHOICE FOOD PANTRY IS A PROGRAM THAT PROVIDES FAMILIES IN NEED WITH EMERGENCY FOOD ONCE A MONTH. THE FOOD PANTRY DISTRIBUTES PERISHABLE AND NON-PERISHABLE GROCERIES TO FAMILIES IN NEED. THE FOOD PANTRY ALSO PACKS "SENIOR BOXES" FOR SENIORS EACH MONTH.
THE EMERGENCY FAMILY SHELTER PROVIDES RESIDENTIAL SHELTER TO FAMILIES EXPERIENCING HOMELESSNESS IN KENOSHA COUNTY. IT OFFERS A SAFE, STABLE AND SUPPORTIVE ENVIRONMENT FOR FAMILIES IN CRISIS. THE SHELTER PROVIDE FAMILIES WITH THREE MEALS A DAY, CLOTHING, AND TRANSPORTATION ASSISTANCE.
THE INDIVIDUALS IN NEED OF NIGHTLY SHELTER (INNS) PROGRAM PROVIDES TEMPORARY EMERGENCY NIGHTLY SHELTER FOR HOMELESS INDIVIDUALS. GUESTS RECEIVE A BED FOR THE NIGHT PLUS AN EVENING MEAL IN THE SOUP KITCHEN, AS WELL AS, BREAKFAST, LUNCH, AND PERSONAL CARE ITEMS.
