MEMBER SERVICES MEMBER SERVICES CONSISTS OF PROVIDING GUIDANCE, SERVICES AND SUPPORT TO PROMOTE MEMBER SATISFACTION. THE LOCAL CHAPTERS ARE OPERATING TO FURTHER THE ASSOCIATION'S MISSION BY FOCUSING ON THEIR REGIONS AND COMMUNITIES. THE ASSOCIATION ASSISTS WITH ORGANIZATION OF CHAPTER MEETINGS AS WELL AS DEVELOPMENT ON NEW CHAPTERS AND CHANGES IN BOUNDARIES. THE ASSOCIATION SELLS DINING GIFT CERTIFICATES TO THE PUBLIC THAT CAN BE REDEEMED AT ANY PARTICIPATING MEMBER RESTAURANT WITH THE GOAL OF INCREASING THE EXPOSURE TO THESE MEMBERS.
PUBLIC RELATIONS CONSISTS OF EFFORTS TO ADVANCE FOOD SERVICE TOURISM GOALS BY PROMOTING A POSITIVE INDUSTRY IMAGE THROUGH PUBLIC RELATIONS PROGRAMS. THE FOUNDATION PROMOTES EDUCATIONAL OPPORTUNITIES, PROFESSIONALISM, AND CAREER OPPORTUNITIES.
GOVERNMENT RELATIONS THE GOVERNMENT RELATIONS PROGRAM WAS DEVELOPED TO REVIEW AND RECOMMEND POSITIONS ON LEGISLATIVE ISSUES OF INTEREST TO THE FOOD SERVICE INDUSTRY AND THE ASSOCIATION. THE PROGRAM ALSO SERVES TO MAINTAIN POSITIVE RELATIONSHIPS WITH ELECTED AND APPOINTED GOVERNMENT OFFICIALS AND ADVISE MEMBERS ON PROPOSED LEGISLATION AND EXISTING LAWS. GOVERNMENT RELATIONS ALSO INCLUDE THE RESTAURANT ADVOCACY FUND, WHICH DEVELOPS FUNDING AND PROGRAMS TO EDUCATE THE ASSOCIATION MEMBERSHIP, GENERAL PUBLIC, LEGISLATURE, AND REGULATORY BODIES ON THE ASSOCIATION'S PUBLIC POLICY.
EXPOS AND SEMINARS THESE EVENTS BRING TOGETHER A WIDE VARIETY OF BUSINESSES IN THE FOOD SERVICE INDUSTRY AND PROVIDED A VALUABLE OPPORTUNITY FOR RESTAURATEURS AND SUPPLIERS TO NETWORK, SAMPLE, OR TRY NEW PRODUCTS, PARTICIPATE IN EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS AND SEMINARS, AND BE EXPOSED TO NEW IDEAS, WHICH MAY IMPROVE OR ENHANCE CURRENT OPERATIONS OF MEMBERS.
