THE ORGANIZATION SUPPORTS THE NATIONAL AND STATE SOCIETIES OF THE DAUGHTERS OF THE AMERICAN REVOLUTION BY PARTICIPATING IN MEETINGS, PROGRAMS AND ACTIVITIES THAT PROMOTE EDUCATION, HISTORIC PRESERVATION AND PATRIOTISM. EFFORTS INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO, ADMINISTERING ESSAY CONTESTS FOR STUDENTS; DONATING BOOKS TO LITERACY PROGRAMS AND LIBRARIES; AWARDING SCHOLARSHIPS; PRESENTING DAUGHTERS OF THE AMERICAN REVOLUTION MEDALS TO MILITARY AFFILIATED CADETS; MAKING CONTRIBUTIONS TO MUSEUMS, HISTORICAL SOCIETIES, VETERAN CENTERS, CONSERVATION AND PRESERVATION PROJECTS; SUPPORTING ACTIVE DUTY MILITARY PERSONNEL; CELEBRATION OF PATRIOTIC HOLIDAYS; AND DEDICATION OF HISTORIC SITES.
