MYMICHIGAN MEDICAL CENTER ALPENA'S PRIMARY LINE OF BUSINESS IS AN ACUTE CARE HOSPITAL PROVIDING BOTH INPATIENT AND OUTPATIENT SERVICES. FOR THE REPORTING PERIOD, WE PROVIDED 4,101 TOTAL ADMISSIONS INCLUDING 3,530 ACUTE CARE, 375 NEWBORNS, 392 PSYCHIATRIC AND 179 INPATIENT REHABILITATION PATIENTS. WE ALSO PROVIDED 16,869 VISITS IN OUR EMERGENCY ROOM, 5,595 OUTPATIENT SURGERY CASES AND 123,258 OTHER OUTPATIENT VISITS. CARE IS PROVIDED REGARDLESS OF THE PATIENT'S ABILITY TO PAY.
