GIRLS ON THE RUN OF S HAMPTON ROADS IS A NON-PROFIT ORGANIZATION THAT PROVIDES A LIFE-CHANGING PROGRAM FOR GIRLS IN THIRD THROUGH EIGHTH GRADES. OUR MISSION IS TO INSPIRE GIRLS TO BE JOYFUL, HEALTHY AND CONFIDENT USING A FUN, EXPERIENCED-BASED, CURRICULUM THAT CREATIVELY INTEGRATES RUNNING.

TO PROVIDE A RUNNING PROGRAM CURRICULUM TO 815 GIRLS DURING THE FALL 2020, SPRING 2021 AND SUMMER 2021 SEASONS. THE FALL AND SPRING SEASONS BOTH CULMINATED IN A THREE VIRTUAL 5K'S IN JULY 2020, DECEMBER 2020, AND MAY 2021 DUE TO THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC. HELD ONE SMALL 5K IN MAY 2021 WHICH ENROLLED 200 YOUTH AND ADULT RUNNERS. GOTHR SUBSIDIZED % OF ENROLLED GIRLS WITH FEE SCHOLARSHIPS TOTALING 45,505.
