THE GEORGIA RESTAURANT ASSOCIATION (GRA) REPRESENTS THE FOODSERVICE INDUSTRY, WHICH IS INTEGRAL AND ESSENTIAL TO THE ECONOMIC AND SOCIAL WELL BEING OF THE STATE OF GEORGIA. THE GRA WILL 1.) WORK TO IMPROVE THE POLITICAL, ECONOMIC, AND SOCIAL ENVIRONMENT IN WHICH THE INDUSTRY CONDUCTS BUSINESS, 2.) PROMOTE THE ESSENTIAL AND DESIRABLE NATURE OF EATING FOOD PREPARED AND SERVED AWAY FROM HOME, AND OF FOOD PREPARED AND DELIVERED TO THE HOME AND 3.) EDUCATE THE INDUSTRY, PARTICULARLY THE CURRENT AND FUTURE MEMBERS, TO OPERATE MORE EFFECTIVELY FOR THE BENEFIT OF ITS PATRONAGE, STAFF, FOR THE INDUSTRY AS A WHOLE, AND FOR THE GENERAL WELL BEING OF THEIR STATE.

THE GEORGIA RESTAURANT ASSOCIATION (GRA) ENSURED THAT GEORGIA'S RESTAURANT INDUSTRY WAS REPRESENTED ON FEDERAL, STATE AND LOCAL LEVELS. THE GRA CONNECTED MEMBERS WITH ASSETS AND PERTINENT INFORMATION, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO STATEWIDE HEALTH REQUIREMENTS FROM THE OFFICE OF GOVERNOR KEMP AND GEORGIA DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC HEALTH AS WELL AS EDUCATION WEBINARS ON INDUSTRY UPDATES CHANGING LAWS AND BUSINESS TRENDS. WE ALSO CONTINUED TO COMMUNICATE OUR INDUSTRY'S RECOVERY CHALLENGES TO OUR ELECTED LEADERS AND THE GENERAL PUBLIC. THROUGH OUR PARTNER, THE NATIONAL RESTAURANT ASSOCIATION, WE PROVIDED CLOSE TO HALF A MILLION DOLLARS IN TRAINING FOR RESTAURANT OWNERS AND EMPLOYEES.
