PROVIDE FOOD, TRANSPORATION, CLOTHING AND OCCUPANCY ASSISTANCE TO NEEDY INDIVIDUALS IN MUSKEGON METROPOLITAN AREA. SERVING MEALS THROUGH SUPPER HOUSE, OFFERING FOOD PANTRY, CLOTHING AND TRANSPORTATION USING VOLUNTEER SERICES PROVIDED WITH EXTRAORDINARY HOSPITALITY AND DIGNITY.
PROVIDE EMERGENCY MEDICAL AND DENTAL ASSISTANCE TO UNINSURED OR UNDERINSURED INDIVIDUALS, WHILE ENCOURAGING PARTNERSHIPS AMONG COMMUNITY HEATLH FACTILITIES.
ADMINISTRATION OF CERA PROGRAM, COVID EMERGENCY RENTAL ASSISTANCE
OUR ORGANIZATION, MISSION FOR AREA PEOPLE, ALSO PROVIDES THE FOLLOWING TO INDIVIDUALS IN OUR COMMUNITY: 1) OUR FOOD PANTRY SERVED A 7-DAY, 3 MEALS PER DAY SUPPLY OF FOOD TO OVER 1,800 PEOPLE. WE EMPHASIZE HEALTHY FOOD OPTIONS FOCUSING ON FRESH FRUITS, VEGETABLES, DAIRY, WHOLE GRAINS, AND PROTEIN. A PARTNERSHIP WITH MICHIGAN STATE UNIVERSITY EXTENSION SERVICES PROVIDES FAMILIES WITH ASSISTANCE ON HEALTHY MEAL PLANNING AND STRETCHING A BUDGET. 2) EACH YEAR, MISSION FOR AREA PEOPLE PROVIDES OVER 1,500 CHILDREN WITH GIFTS FOR THE CHRISTMAS HOLIDAY SEASON. PARENTS SHOP FOR GIFTS PROVIDED BY TOYS FOR TOTS AND COMMUNITY DONATIONS. 3.) CLOTHING WAS PROVIDED FOR OVER 6,000 PEOPLE WITH AN AVERAGE VALUE OF $25 OF CLOTHING PER PERSON. 4.) IN ADDITION, MISSION FOR AREA PEOPLE PROVIDES MEDICAL, DENTAL, AND PRESCRIPTION SUPPORT TO LOCAL PEOPLE IN NEED OF MEDICAL RELATED CARE.
